Weekend Madness
Running around isn't easy especially when you need to get things done asap, what makes it even worse is when it happens over a weekend like a Saturday for example. Well in my mind I tried to figure out what is best not to do on such a day, if you can help it. Even I have had days like these.
Waking up early on a Saturday morning is not that important. Yes it is.
What not to do: Don't snooze the alarm clock or break it with a shoe.
I need my farmhouse breakfast first. The shops won't be that busy, have you ever been surprised by this?
What not to do: Read the paper, go for seconds, have some more tea/coffee and take your time.
Now you are late and need to get to the mall to do the shopping, grooming and all the other stuff that needs to get done.
What not to do: Think Sandra Bullock and the Bus in Speed, do not do that.
Arrive at your destination and guess what, no parking.
What not to do: Don't park leaving your emergency lights on just for a quick run into the shop. Avoid the parking for the disabled unless you have some backup gear.
Shop A does not have what you are looking for, neither has shop B, maybe shop C will have it? Nope, no such luck.
What not to do: Do not get upset, throw things or scream and shout because of frustration. Chew gum, it works.
People are walking to slow for your liking.
What not to do: Don't injure them with your shopping cart even though it gets rid of some frustration.
Long Queues.
What not to do: Applaud like a spectator when another person in front of you is done paying for their goods.
No clothing in your size.
What not to do: Run around to every clothing store because you just have to find something, it is addictive when you want something you can't get and you most probably won't realize the time flying by.
Get Bad Service.
What not to do: Do not slap or spit on the person, chew gum, it works.
Give up.
What not to do: Don't go watch a movie try and pull through, chew gum it works.
Stuck in traffic.
What not to do: Climb out shouting at the people in front to get moving. Stay in your car, your car horn works just fine.
In the end you will get home, you will get to put your feet up, have a drink and relax before you realize your guests are arriving in an hours time and nothing is done.
But hey don't panic, just stay calm, oh and chew gum, it works!

Ladies I salute you.
Tuesday woke me up bright and early. Sun not completely up yet, and me just enjoying my coffee and my chair in front of the PC .Well this morning my spotlight zooms in one one of the biggest industries out there, Fashion! Ladies I take my jersey off in winter for you guys, since I don't wear hats. There are million tips and suggestions out there, how the hell do you choose between Top A an Top B, Lip gloss 1 and Lip gloss 2, I am already confused. This is just mentioning the upkeep of items, boy oh boy, oh boy. (sigh)
1, "Always organize your clothes light to dark from left to right in your closet. Your eye will follow the color and thus help you stay organized. "— Melanie Charlton Fascitelli, Founder, Clos-ette and Clos-ette Too
2. Cut down your closet by 25%.by asking yourself this question: If I were shopping right this instant would I buy this? If the answer is no-out it goes.
3. Blot, don’t rub, when you spill something on your clothes. Wiping or rubbing will actually further ingrain the stain into the weave.
4. Revamp an old coat by swapping out the buttons and having a tailor replace the lining with something eye-catching, like a pattern or a bright color.
5. Break in stiff or too-snug shoes by slipping them on with socks and blasting your feet with a hot hairdryer.
6.Ideally, a pencil skirt should hit just at the top of your knee. Any lower and it will start to shorten your leg.
7.Fold jeans like a pro: Lay jeans on a flat surface, fold in half from left to right. Grab the stacked jean legs and fold them in half so the hem of the jeans lines up with the waistband. Fold the jeans in half one more time.
8.“The best way to store fashion jewelry, including Sterling Silver, is in Ziploc bags. This helps pieces retain luster and reduces tarnishing and scratches.”—Jordann Weingartner, Founder, I Love Jewelry Auctions
9. To achieve the perfectly effortless cuffed sleeve, keep the top button (which is called the gauntlet) buttoned while you roll.
10.V-neck sweaters and tees give the illusion of a longer torso.
Honestly my sweater is off and I am speechless, small mentions here I can try and apply like folding jeans, as for the rest I don't think so. My closet is perfect, I like that old T-shirt at the back I bought while I was on vacation six years ago or wearing an old coat, even jeans are jeans. I know this does not apply to all!
You deserve the respect though.

Is the wait worth it?
It is amazing how we as people can wait. Take a movie for example, if it is only being released a year from now we will still wait. If something is out of stock we will wait. If a friend or relative is running late we will still wait. When does all this waiting become a bit too much to handle? These are some points of view that might apply to you already, I know some of them does to me.
1.This has to be my favorite, standing in a line waiting to pay for your groceries. There are two people ahead of you and the third is busy unpacking. As he unpacks he starts by telling the cashier that either he does not want it anymore or that he simply realized the product is to expensive and wants it taken off. I know in most of our stores we need the manager to come and override to remove the item. A few products is fine but after that guess what, it starts to get to a person.
2.Waiting at an ATM. This is also one that gets very busy at month end or on weekends when people can do what they need to do. Banks are supposed to educate their clients on how to use service offerings that will make their life easier. They recently added a new service offering available at any of the ATM'S but what they do not realize is that some people will catch on, others won't. So now you stand in line watching the poor person cancelling his transaction and trying again and so forth. Sad, but true.
3. Sorry this item is out of stock but we can order it for you. That to me sounds like a promise, one that most stores often have difficulty with, why? Sometimes management tells the shop assistant or person in charge that the item will arrive in a week so person X tells you it will arrive in one week, so you as the customer smiles and walks out. A week later you return only to hear an apology from person X that the product has not arrived yet and management said one more week. Leaving person X Informs you that she will call you as soon as the item arrives. If it is during the next week you will be very lucky. You don't look to management for answers because person X helps you so who will get the blame when week two passes and still no goods.
4. Waiting for someone and they do not pitch. Irritating, oh yes. I agree stuff could happen that would cause a person not be on time or not show up at all. But if it gets too much, being told that he/she is sick continually, forever spilling coffee as someone walked into them or plain and simple calls an hour after the scheduled time telling you sorry that he/she could not make it.
Agree that some of this, yes does come down to patience. But there is patience and then there is the crazy side of patience. And I think there are more stories to be told around this, plenty.
